Heads Invitational supporting Varsity Team Inc.

The Heads Invitational, and it’s founders Chris Filasky and Kevin Gaynor, have been a vital part of the growth of Varsity Team Inc for the past 15 years. The Heads Invitational has become an annual event for more than 120 participants each year. The fun and laid back environment, amazing lunch and dinner, complementary drinks, as well as tons of prizes to be won, keeps teams coming back. We believe that providing an amazing event to help an amazing organization, is a win/win for all involved. With the funds raised from this tournament, Varsity has helped hundreds of at-risk youth, and now has expanded services to offer Transitional Housing to young adults, and will soon provide services for the developmentally disabled. We greatly appreciate your continued support and look forward to welcoming new participants and sponsors to this amazing event.

Since 2004, Varsity Team Inc. has been working to provide comprehensive services for at-risk youth in Southern California. The mission of Varsity Team Inc. as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is to be the premier organization for helping foster youth: by providing a clean, safe, professional, and home-like environment; by teaching our youth how to be positive members of their community; by empowering our youth independent living skills training; by encouraging and providing opportunities for growth and friendship through extra-curricular activities such as sports, music, drama, etc.; and by pushing our residents to expect more of themselves than what is expected of them, so they may grow into confident, responsible, and self-sufficient adults and to break the cycle and abuse and neglect.
